Fusion Source Energy has executed a memorandum of understanding with Loaf to undertake an offering of 200+ MW Project Amber on-chain.
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, 2 October 2026.
Fusion Source Energy (‘FSE’) and partners have signed a memorandum of understanding with Loaf to pursue offerings of more than US$500 million of Australian solar and battery projects across over 1,000 hectares of land, led by Project Amber. Under the deal, capital raised is expected to accelerate development and significantly expand Amber's battery capacity.
Amber is a utility-scale solar park combining more than 200 MW of solar PV co-located with multi-hour battery storage, expected to generate enough electricity annually to power over 70,000 homes or a 50 MW data centre. The pipeline also includes sub-5 MW BESS assets and distributed energy resources, modular assets that sit closer to demand and give investors access to diversified energy revenue at multiple sites in Australia.
Amber is positioned for utility-scale energy buyers and offtakers. Data centres are rapidly becoming the most active buyers at that scale.
Amber is one of the largest hybrid co-located projects in the Southern Hemisphere. Projects of this size have typically only been available to small groups of institutional investors. Loaf gives us a way to broaden that investor base without additional friction, and gives the asset continuous, transparent pricing. We're pleased to be working with them as one of the first developers to take this approach.
— Weiwei Shi, FSE CEO
Energy is the physical layer everything runs on, from homes to the compute behind AI. Projects like Amber are among the most sought-after infrastructure assets, and historically among the hardest to access. As the race to secure power for AI intensifies, that demand is only growing. Physical assets have more to gain from coming on-chain than any other asset class, particularly through liquidity and composability. Our aim is to bring the assets that power humanity on-chain.
